CARLOTA FLÂNEUR

Carlota Flâneur has always surrounded herself with music. At the age of five she asked for a violin and played it for ten years, until she realized that what she enjoyed the most was singing, so she learnt to play guitar. After sharing a band with four of her highschool best friends, she decided that it was time she started her own project. Her musical restlessness pushed her to start something on her own, so she could take her music to a much more personal level, in which she could express herself freely, with no external influences. This introspective process has shaped Brains, a debut EP that pulls us closer to Carlota’s universe, a place where the atmosphere is light and warm, and where feelings and thoughts are spoken simply, with love and no filters at all. A place where there’s no need to pretend, existing is enough. The four songs included in Brains erase the boarders of space and time; the present moment melts with the past and with Carlota’s teenage memories completely, to the point in which they can’t be told apart from each other. Carlota’s songs give off a certain kind of sweetness, a nostalgic one, which hug the listener as her stories are told.
